个体患儿会出现下列一种以上的痉挛发作形式，同时也受到体位的影响。屈肌和伸肌同时受累多见，也可仅累及屈肌，伸肌单独受累少见。屈肌痉挛常见被形象的描述为点头状痉挛，折刀样痉挛以及闪电样点头状痉挛。治疗癫痫病屈肌痉挛表现为颈躯干突然屈曲手臂前伸或侧举，有时伴屈肘，下肢呈屈髋屈膝状到底干过伸，肢体外展伸直，类似于moro反射。

屈肌伸肌痉挛是最常见的癫痫病的症状是屈肌和伸肌突然同时收缩，颈躯干及上肢屈曲，但下肢伸直。
