专家提醒：在小儿癫痫大发作时，家长和护理人员要注意防止小儿脑部外伤，避免脑部感染，发热时注意处理而防止高热惊厥，冬天防止煤气中毒。小儿新生儿期如有黄疸不退或加重，应积极治疗，防止核黄疸(由于胆红素沉积在基底神经节和脑干神经核而引起的脑损害。)发生而导致癫痫大发作。如小儿出现全身抽搐、神志不清、呼之能应，或时有谵语。等应立即到医院抢救，检查脑电图以确诊，如为癫痫应及时、有效治疗，减少发作次数及持续时间，减轻对小儿智力发育的影响。
