比如讲，有人受外伤以后不发癫痫，有人受外伤以后就发癫痫，一方面是由病灶本身决定，另外一方面由遗传素质或者遗传素因所决定，这些都不是绝对的。但是癫痫有遗传倾向的这部分患者，在治疗上并不困难，它不像人们想象的那么可怕。就拿这样的情况来说，癫痫遗传的比较少，所以作为病人和家属来说，对于是否会遗传不要有太多的顾虑。除非两个人都是癫痫患者，结婚后生下来的孩子发生的机率会比较高一些。
