当患者在病情得到控制后可以适当的看电视，但是在未经长期服药满意地控制发作之前，好不看电影或电视，或者戴墨色眼镜看，以减少刺激强度。对于一般癫痫患者来说，则不限制看电影和电视。近年来，不少儿童空闲时间热衷于电子游戏，这种活动对癫痫患儿一般是不适宜的，尤其是曾有过闪光诱发癫痫发作的患儿更应禁忌，孩子没有自制能力家长要注意照看。
