如何避免诊断误区呢

1、抽搐动作大是大发作，动作小是小发作。

癫痫的大发作和小发作都属全身性发作。大小发作不是按抽搐动作幅度大小区分的。大发作有全身四肢的抽搐，而典型小发作，仅有短暂的(不超过1分钟)的意识丧失，而没有搐动作。有些患者或家属把全身大发作以外的其它形式的发作都认定是小发作，显然是不确切的。临床医生要根据患者的病史，发病症状，准确分型，合理选药，才能收到较好疗效。

2、原发性癫痫与遗传有关，而继发性癫痫与遗传无关。

通过对癫痫病人及其有血缘关系亲属的大量调查发现，不仅原发性癫痫与遗传有关，而且继发性癫痫的直系亲属发病率远比普通人群高。发生过脑外伤、患过脑炎、脑膜炎、有产伤窒息史的患者不一定都发生癫痫。因而说明，是否发生癫痫不仅取决于环境因素的强弱，而重要是决定于先天的遗传因素。遗传决定了一个人发生惊厥的惊厥阈值的高低，这种阈值越低越易发生癫痫。

3、癫痫发作时，患者都有神志丧失。

绝大部分癫癫患者发作都伴有神志丧失。但有些类型的癫痫，如局限性发作，肌阵挛癫痫等病人发作时意识清楚。因此，不能因为患者神志不丧失，就否认癫痫的诊断而贻误治疗。
