3、对因遗传性疾病引起的小儿癫痫病，要进行产前诊断，发现患某种遗传性疾病，伴发儿童癫痫的胎儿可以做人流，这样就可以减少这类儿童癫痫的发生。

4、对于各种颅内感染引起的小儿癫痫病，要积极地预防这些感染的发生，一旦发生了颅内感染性疾病，应及早诊断，正确治疗，减轻脑组织损伤程度。在颅内感染的急性期，不少患者常有小儿癫痫病发作，这时应及时、足量地使用抗儿童癫痫药物，以减轻脑组织因儿童癫痫发作造成的损害，也可减少日后小儿癫痫病发作的机会。
