脑脊液检查：主要为排除颅内感染、颅内出血等疾病。除常规、生化、细菌培养涂片外，还应作支原体、弓形体、巨细胞病毒、单纯疱疹病毒、囊虫病等病因检查及注意异常白细胞的细胞学检查。其它代谢异常疾病的检查，如肾功能、血氨基酸分析等。

3.脑电图检查

脑电图不仅对确定痫性发作和判断羊角风类型有重要的诊断价值，而且对于羊角风病因诊断也有实用意义。

4.体格检查

羊角风病人的体格检查和其它疾病一样，检查项目包括一般状况、皮肤、粘膜、淋巴结、头、眼、耳、口腔、颈部、胸部、腹部、外生殖器及肛门、脊柱四肢等，但重点应放在神经系统方面。要注意病人的精神状态和智能，还要意病人的言语是否正常，特别要注意其头部是否则在太小(小头畸形)或过大(巨头脑畸形)。另外，在检查时，尤其要注意有无颅脑外伤或其它外伤痕迹。
