2、反复发作性是癫痫的症状中最常见的。羊角风如没有及时而又正确的治疗，在病程中会反复发作。反复发作是羊角风病程中的一个特点，但不同类型和不同患者的发作频度、持续时间。

羊角风发作时间一般持续数秒或数分钟后自行缓解。而有的如植物神经性发作则可持续数10分钟。羊角风病程中反复发作的频度差别很大。同一类型如大发作，有的患者病程初始阶段1年发作1-2次，而后变为1年发作数十次。而不同患者有的数月发作一次，也有的一月发作数次。不同类型的发作，如小发作1天多达数十次，而大发作则少见1天发作十数次。

3、癫痫发作症状的多样性。由于脑神经元异常入电的部位和传布的范围不同，癫痫的症状是多种多样的。可以表现为单一意识、精神、运动、感觉或植物神经的功能紊乱，也可以兼有之，即表现为两种或多种症状的发作。如有的仅表现为失神，有的表现为意识障碍和全身抽搐，有的则表现为精神障碍等。
