四、求学机会：不少癫痫病友，因欠缺治疗而失去接受正常教育的机会，更甚者，有部分学校因不知如何辅导，而促使癫痫学童在学校被嘲笑捉弄，或失去参与正常活动的机会。

五、就业机会：常有病人抱怨工作不顺利，有时老板一发现雇员中有癫痫时，即刻叫该雇员离职或百般刁难，使癫痫病友失去工作谋职的机会。当然癫痫病友也需负部份责任，须要有规律服药使不再发作，才不会因发作而影响工作效果，或发生意外。
