对有一定智力的小儿，家长应采取措施鼓励其积极配合。必要时家长不妨先试服一点，以消除患儿的顾虑。特别不合作的小儿，可将药混在饭中或糖中服用，并监督孩子将药吞下，之后再喝几口水，以确保药物被送入胃中。

对服药后呕吐的小儿，可将原来一次服用的药分成2-3份，在1小时内服完。

某些药物因单次剂量较小不易平分时，可与该片一起研磨碎后，再等分。

除此以外，据报道，哺乳期的女性癫痫患者应用奎尼丁、异烟肼、呋喃唑酮、阿司匹林、复方新诺明、磺胺嘧啶等药物时，可使先天缺乏6―磷酸葡萄糖脱氢酶的婴儿(尤其是6个月以内的)发生急性溶血性贫血，严重时还可危及生命，故应忌用。综上所述，哺乳期妇女患病时应在医生指导下合理用药或停止哺乳，以确保母婴健康。
