痴笑性癫痫有什么特点?专家说，在对痴笑性癫痫患者做检查时发现，可以在检查中捕捉到脑电图异常波，有持续性高幅尖慢、棘慢综合波，发笑停止后尖慢、棘慢综合波也随之消失。

要明确是不是痴笑性癫痫，可以从痴笑性癫痫的这些特点来判断：

(1)没有任何可以发笑的原因下就突然发笑，且发笑的表现不具有感染力，但自己又不能控制，有时是突然停止，有的可持续几分钟。

(2)发作停止后患者没有情感体验，也没有发笑记忆。

(3)脑电图检查可发现痫样波。

(4)用抗癫痫药物治疗有疗效。

对于痴笑性癫痫的定位，目前尚未明确，有的定位于桥脑上部，也有人认为应定位于丘脑下部，但多数人认为应定位于颞叶或额颞叶，具体的还需要医学的进步一步验证。
