有很多癫痫患者遇到危险都是由于突然不受控制造成的，癫痫发作时突然表现为意识模糊。患者运动上出现障碍，动作的突然性中止、眼睛的无神，严重的时候患者晕厥、呼吸急促、四肢抽搐，伴有口吐白沫、面色苍白、大小便失禁等。遇到这样的情况说明已经很严重，要立即送到就近的医院接受急救，避免护理不及时导致病情恶化。

除了上述症状外，癫痫发病还有四肢疼痛型。人到老年一般会有风湿关节炎、胫骨痛等毛病，这些很容易与肢痛型癫痫病混淆，因为他们的症状类似，都是四肢酸痛，关节疼痛等。所以这里提醒大家，当老年人遇到这样的状况时，建议立刻到医院检查一下病因，诊断是否为癫痫病，以防耽误了病情，对以后的生活造成影响。
