2、脑电图检查

癫痫患者在选择另一半时，应作脑电图检查，如对方的脑电图也存在异常，尤其是癫痫样放电异常，应禁止结婚，即使结婚也不应生育。如患者本身存在癫痫大发作现象，脑电图检查显示复合波或多灶性棘波，且同胞的脑电图存在类似异常情况，此类患者即使与正常人结婚，也应禁止生育。对于此类患者，如有生育要求，应尽早治疗癫痫，如治愈后患者的脑电图恢复正常，是可以结婚生育的，这也是有效防止癫痫病遗传的有效措施。
