药物治疗：有一点是值得注意的，就是要去治疗所坚持的原则是：用药早、剂量足、服药准、时间长。一旦癫痫诊断确立后，应立即服药，控制发作。剂量足够控制癫痫病不发作且不出现药物毒性反应为准，必要时可进行血药浓度检查。根据不同的癫痫类型或综合症，这样可以更好的确定药物的选择。

2、中医现代化治疗：癫痫病的发作主要是因为神经元的异常放电主要是因为神经肽在神经细胞内无法合成以及无法在突触处正常释放，进而无法与突触后膜上的对应受体相结合，阻碍正常信息传递。中医现代化治疗直接作用于神经细胞内的神经肽，效果远远高于药物的肠胃吸收过程，所以具有疗效高、见效快、治疗周期短的优势。

3、癫痫病的外科手术：癫痫病的治疗方法中的手术治疗是通过切除癫痫灶或损毁致痫灶和癫痫灶之间的神经纤维联系，从而防止癫痫异常放电的产生和播散，主要适用于难治性癫痫。

4、癫痫病的病因治疗：如脑炎则抗炎治疗，寄生虫感染则驱虫治疗，脑肿瘤或脑血管畸形所致的癫痫则采用癫痫病的治疗方法中的手术治疗。避免癫痫病的诱发因素，养成健康生活习惯，如避免电脑游戏、疲劳、发热、脱水、过度饮水等，精神心理治疗和康复治疗，可提高癫痫病人生活质量。
