2尽量单药治疗目前主张尽量单药治疗，根据发作类型选择1种合适的药物。如75%部分性发作病人使用卡马西平或苯妥英单一药物治疗，即可得到适当的控制，60%～70%的病人在接受第1种药物治疗时，即可比较满意控制发作。当第1种药物治疗无效时，55%的病人可以换用第2种药物单一治疗获得成功。有研究显示70%～80%的病人经过12mo单一药物治疗可得到适当的控制，40%病人发作完全停止，治疗6mo时仍有发作的许多病人在以后仍可逐渐缓解。
