为加强我国农村地区癫痫防治工作，保障农村地区癫痫防治管理项目实施，卫生部近日制定印发《农村癫痫防治管理项目管理办法(试行)》和《农村癫痫防治管理项目技术指导方案》。癫痫是一种常见的神经系统疾病，如果得不到有效治疗，相当部分的癫痫患者不能工作或劳动，一些患者还将因癫痫发作引起行为异常。

很多人认为癫痫多发生在社会底层，所以容易对癫痫患者产生偏见和歧视。不少癫痫患者更因为没有接受正规治疗而失去接受正常教育和就业机会。其实癫痫并非像人们想象的那样可怕，历史上患有癫痫的名人大有人在，从古希腊思想家教育家苏格拉底以及哲学家亚里士多德，到近代大文豪托尔斯泰、海明威等都是癫痫患者，也许可以说癫痫面前，人人平等。

癫痫并非如想象中的“不治之症”。比如针对光敏感性癫痫，张教授告诉我们，首先应采取有效的手段尽量避免诱发因素，面对电脑或电视机时调整至适当的距离，安装护目镜或者在强光下戴墨镜等，同时还要保证充足的睡眠，消除紧张情绪。
