在完全控制后开始减少药量，停服的时间，应根据发作类型、既往发作频率与毒性反应大小而定。

有的家长不仅给孩子吃西药，还给他们吃中药，认为这样中西结合双倍药力，效果更好。却不知中药里有不少是西药里已有的药物成分，这样给孩子吃了双倍的药量，很容易药物中毒，轻的会造成血象低、牙龈增多，严重的会昏迷，损伤肝功能。所以家长在给孩子吃中药时，最好要问清药物成分，以免让孩子药物中毒。
