③偏头痛与癫痫病均可有脑电图异常，但癫痫多为阵发性痫性放电波，如棘波、棘-慢波综合等。而偏头痛间歇期的脑电图虽可有局灶性慢波和中颞尖波，但出现在头痛同侧，且入睡后往往消失。这与癫痫的典型尖波并出现在头痛对侧不同。偏头痛在发作期脑电图没有改变或显示背景波节律减慢，而癫痫却有明显的痫性放电。

④试验治疗：有些患儿确实鉴别困难，可试用抗偏头痛的药物治疗。
