方中丹参、川芎、红花、白芷、郁金等功能活血化瘀，通络，扩血管，改善微循环，解除小动脉痉挛，以缓急止痛;郁金、当归具有保护肝肾的作用;钩藤、石菖蒲、远志、益智仁具有镇静安神、醒脑开窍作用。无明显毒副作用及不良反应，证明中药治疗植物神经性癫痫安全有效。
