2、双方均为原发性癫痫患者的近亲也应考虑禁止生育。这样的遗传几率可谓是双倍的。

3、双方有癫痫家族史的应考虑禁止生育。一般有家族史的，遗传几率也比较高，对孩子的健康保障不是很高，因此建议要慎重对待生育问题。

4、一方为癫痫患者，对方仅有脑电图异常时也应考虑禁止生育。全身性发作患者，脑电图有广泛异常，其同胞中也有类似表现脑电图的，应考虑禁止生育。

5、一方有家族史，已生过患癫痫的子女，也不应生育二胎。女性癫痫患者又有明确的家族史者，如已结婚应考虑禁止生育。
