3，对于癫痫患者而言，必须要禁止食用刺激性食物。酒、葱、辣椒等都比较有刺激性。癫痫病人应该绝对禁止饮酒，因为酒精是一种原生质毒物，会造成条件反射活动的障碍，甚至伤神耗血，使神经兴奋而诱发癫痫。除此之外，浓茶、咖啡等对于癫痫患者而言也应该精良避免。

4，癫痫患者对于碱性食物也应该注意避免，若病人血液偏于碱性，不利于钙的化合物的分解，造成血钙降低，神经兴奋性增强，而促使发作。饮食方面应该荤素搭配，如此才能达到最合理的饮食。

5，患者千万不可饮水过量或摄取过量盐分。因为癫痫发作由间脑始发，而间脑是体液调节中枢，大量的液体进人体内，会加重间脑的负担，从而导致癫痫发作，又因为癫痫发作与神经元的过度放电有关，大量的钠元素会导致癫痫发作，因此患者不宜食用过多盐分。
