另外，如果女性癫痫病患者不得不用药的时候，应该尽量的选择副作用比较小的治疗药物，以免造成婴儿健康出现问题。妇女在哺乳期，特别是哺乳初期，最好不要服用毒副作用较强的抗癫痫药。如果怕出现较严重的发作，在用药时一定要做到慎重的选择。
