二、一般来说癫痫的患者的父母的一方或是双方均是有癫痫病的，患者本人又已生过了患癫痫的子女，这时候应禁止生第2胎。如果患者是全身的大发作型的癫痫的患者，又会有广泛的棘慢复合波或是多灶性的棘波脑电图的表现，且同胞中也是有类似脑电图的异常的患者，这时候可与正常人进行结婚，但是应禁止生育。

三、一般来说癫痫的患者在择偶的时后应做脑电图的检查，如果对方的也是有脑电图的异常，特别是有痫样的放电时，就不应结婚，就算结婚后也是应禁止生育的;当治愈后患者的脑电图恢复了正常就可以进行结婚。
