EEG特征

(1)强直-阵挛性发作：EEG特征表现为背景活动正常或非特异性异常，发作间期异常波在两半球可见棘波、尖波、棘慢波、多棘波等;发作期EEG强直期以10～20Hz节律性棘波发放开始，波幅渐高而频率渐慢;发作结束后可见弥漫性慢波活动，逐渐恢复背景活动。(2)全身性粗大肌阵挛：EEG表现为高波幅多棘慢波爆发，或突然广泛低电压。(3)散在游走性肌阵挛：EEG为持续性弥漫性慢波多灶性棘波、尖波。(4)失张力发作：EEG发作间期和发作期可表现为全导棘慢波或多棘慢波发放;发作期还可表现为低波幅或高波幅快活动和弥漫性低电压。(5)婴儿痉挛：EEG表现为“高度失律”，正常节律消失，各导联见到不规则、杂乱、不对称、高波幅慢波、棘波、尖波、多棘慢波。(6)婴儿良性肌阵挛癫痫：肌阵挛发作时伴有EEG异常放电，表现为弥漫性棘慢波或多棘慢波。(7)具有中央-颞区棘波的小儿良性癫痫：大部分病儿EEG背景活动正常，在中央区或中央颞区出现棘波或尖波，随后为一低波幅慢波，可单独出现或成簇出现。

脑电图

(1)良性新生儿惊厥：在发作间期常可见尖型θ波。(2)小婴儿癫痫性脑病伴暴发抑制：脑电图表现为“暴发-抑制”特征性改变。(3)早期肌阵挛脑病：脑电图也表现为“暴发-抑制”，和大田原综合征不同之处是本病暴发-抑制图形在睡眠时明显，有时见不到。(4)婴儿良性肌阵挛癫痫：清醒时若无临床发作，脑电图常无异常放电，在嗜睡及困倦时和睡眠早期阶段容易出现异常。(5)具有中央-颞区棘波的小儿良性癫痫：异常放电在入睡后增加，大约30%病儿仅在入睡后出现，当疑为本症的患儿，如清醒时脑电图正常，应做睡眠脑电图以明确诊断。

头颅CT、MRI、MRA、DSA检查

CT及磁共振检查了解脑部结构异常，如脑畸形、发育异常等;PET及SPECT了解大脑功能改变及帮助癫痫定位;FMRI(功能性MRI)、MEG(脑磁图)、IAP(颈内动脉异戊巴比妥试验)等检查，了解脑的结构与功能的关系。
