扣带回发作的类型为复杂部分发作伴有发病时复杂的运动手势自动症，并常见植物神经症，如心境和情感的改变。

前额极区发作的形式包括强迫性思维或起始性接触丧失，以及头和眼的转向运动，可能伴有反向运动、轴性阵挛性抽动、跌倒以及植物神经症。

眶额区发作的形式是一种复杂部分发作，伴有起始的运动和手势性的自动症、嗅幻觉和错觉以及植物神经症。

背外侧部发作形式可能是强直性的或者较少见的阵挛，伴有眼和头的转动以及言语停止。

岛盖发作的特点包括咀嚼、流涎、吞咽、喉的症状、言语停止、上腹部先兆、恐惧以及植物神经症状，味幻觉在此区特别常见。
