如果是失神伴有肌阵挛发作，那么青春性癫痫症状表现就是突然失神样，持物跌落，同时有局部眼睑、口角或其他肌群肌阵挛，然后发展为全身性肌阵挛发作。全身强直-阵挛性大发作表现为突然昏迷、四肢抽搐、呈四肢强直、阵挛、口吐白沫、瞳孔散大、对光反应消失、大小便失禁。以上各类型持续发作时间不一，短的1～2分钟，长的1～2小时，甚至反复发作间隔1～2天。

其实这个时期家长起到了很重要的作用，家长们应该对癫痫病的孩子在青春期发作做好心理教育，这将很大程度的减轻青春期孩子的心理负担，加强对青春期癫痫患者的关注和加强青少年癫痫患者的依从性是癫痫病患者家长的主要目标。
