很多成年人在癫痫病早期的症状会表现出烦燥不安、情绪忧郁低下、心境不佳、老是爱挑剔或抱怨他人等症状。大发作之前数秒钟内患者会出现的错觉、幻觉、夜游症、多动症、局部肌阵挛等的异常感觉。此外，有些精神运动性发作也会出现相似的前兆性行为。这个时候对于成人癫痫患者来说，正好处于早期症状，一定要及时地去治疗，而且治疗效果也会更好，否则的话，成人癫痫病会造成严重的后果，也有可能导致癫痫病持续性发作。还有部分性癫痫是身体局部肌肉或肢体的抽搐行为有时候持续时间会比较长，但不会意识丧失。
