1单纯部分性发作

某一局部或一侧肢体的强直、阵挛性发作，或感觉异常发作，历时短暂，意识清楚。若发作范围沿运动区扩及其他肢体或全身时可伴意识丧失，称杰克森发作(Jack)。发作后患肢可有暂时性瘫痪，称Todd麻痹。

2复杂部分性发作

精神感觉性、精神运动性及混合性发作。多有不同程度的意识障碍及明显的思维、知觉、情感和精神运动障碍。可有神游症、夜游症等自动症表现。癫痫病患者有时在幻觉、妄想的支配下可发生伤人、自伤等暴力行为。

3植物神经性发作

可有头痛型、腹痛型、肢痛型、晕厥型或心血管性发作。无明确病因者为原发性癫痫，继发于颅内肿瘤、外伤、感染、寄生虫病、脑血管病、全身代谢病等引起者为继发性癫痫。

4失神发作

突发性精神活动中断，意识丧失、可伴肌阵挛或自动症。一次发作数秒至十余秒。脑电图出现3次/秒棘慢或尖慢波综合。

5癫痫病的早期症状为全身强直-阵挛发作

突然意识丧失，继之先强直后阵挛性痉挛。癫痫病患者常伴尖叫、面色青紫、尿失禁、舌咬伤、口吐白沫或血沫、瞳孔散大。持续数十秒或数分钟后痉挛发作自然停止，进入昏睡状态。醒后有短时间的头昏、烦躁、疲乏，对发作过程不能回忆。若发作持续不断，一直处于昏迷状态者称大发作持续状态，常危及生命。
