单纯性发作又称局限性发作。这类老年癫痫的发作症状表现为：发作时患者身体一部分出现抽动，时间为几秒，患者意识清晰。但是，如果癫痫病症出现放电扩展，可能会蔓延全身。大发作。老年癫痫大发作时患者出现头晕、恶心，突然丧失意识、头后仰、肢体出现强直，全身肌肉有规律抽搐、口吐白沫、并伴有大小便的失禁等，延续时间一般为1-3分钟。

精神运动性老年癫痫的发作症状。此类癫痫的发作是在出现意识障碍之后，患者会经常出现幻觉、错觉以及自动症等等。癫痫病会导致患者脑组织结构受到损伤，对老年人来说更是身体精神的折磨，如果不能及早发现治疗更会危急老人身体健康，因此老年人及其家属要及早了解老年癫痫的发作症状，做到早发现早治疗。
