在诊断时应弄清以下几个问题：①发作性症状是否为癫痫;②如果是癫痫,是什么类型的发作,是否为特殊的癫痫综合征;③如果是癫痫,是否存在致痫病灶,是否有诱发因素,诱因是什么。因大多数患者发作时有一定的意识障碍,本人对发作过程不能表达,又因为医师很少目睹患者的发作过程,所以详确的病史主要靠患者家属或目睹者陈述出来,密切配合医师做正确的诊断,以便及时得到有效的治疗,防止病情加重。
