(3)婚姻：根据癫痫的遗传规律，特发性癫痫患者，其子女的癫痫发病率比普通人群高4-10倍，但特发性癫痫治疗一般并不困难。特发性患者是否结婚，我国尚无明确规定，但从坚持优生优育提高我国人口素质出发，提出以下建议，供遗传咨询时参考：①禁止近亲结婚，特别是双方均是原发性癫痫的近亲结婚及生育;②劝阻双方均患特发性的患者结婚，如已结婚的应劝其不育;③特发性全身性癫痫的女性患者，又有明确的家族史，如已结婚，应劝其不育;④对于那些纯继发因素所致的患者则一般不会遗传，可结婚生子。

(4)月经：近半数女性患者在月经前或月经中发作增加。

(5)妊娠：部分患者在妊娠早期癫痫发作增加。当有的妇女怀孕时，应知道无论疾病本身或是服用抗癫痫药物，均对胎儿有危险，所有的抗癫痫药都有一些致畸危险性，但只要癫痫或药物控制得当，大多数患癫痫的父母都能得到一个健康的宝宝。

(6)娱乐：癫痫患者发作期严禁开车、游泳、高空及火旁作业。发作控制后，并非所有娱乐不能涉足，只是须注意安全，如游泳时须结伴同行，到安全地方游泳、避免到频繁闪光的舞厅跳舞。
