先天性癫痫不发病能不能检查出来?脑电图是检测癫痫病的重要措施，通过脑电图可以得出很多结论。脑电图是通过粘贴在头皮上的电极记录来自脑细胞的生物电活动，并不对病人施加任何电刺激，是一种非损伤性的检查技术。病人在检查过程中没有明显的不适感。

癫痫患者一生中将会进行很多次脑电图检查，但不论做多少次，都对人体无害。很多患者对于做脑电图都有一个顾虑：不发作时能捕捉到异常放电吗?答案是：大多数患者可以。

癫痫患者并不是只有在发作的时候才会放电的，实际上在平时也会有异常放电，一般为散在放电，不至于引起临床发作。当这些放电逐渐增强、积累达到一定程度后，会引起临床发作。因为门诊脑电图检查时间短，大多数癫痫患者在门诊做脑电图时获得的都是间歇期脑电图。

对于已确诊的癫痫患者内科药物治疗，间歇期脑电图就可以满足需要了。若患者有临床发作，但没有充分的证据诊断为癫痫或是顽固性癫痫患者需要精确定位癫痫灶进行手术治疗，则需要进行连续长程视频脑电图检测。

由此可见，即使是在癫痫病人未发作的时候做脑电图也是有作用的，大部分病人都可以通过这种脑电图对疾病有好的诊断。但是有一部分患者则需要做长程视频脑电图，这种脑电图的检测效果更好，而且更为连续，对诊断也更为精确。

　　特发性癫痫也称原发性癫痫，是指用目前的诊断技术尚找不到明确病因的一组患者。随着电子计算机辅助诊断技术的飞速发展，例如用CT、MRI、SPEC、TPET，血及脑脊液介质和氨基酸等检查手段的出现，很多所谓特发性癫痫将可逐渐被找到病因。据一组曾诊断为原发性癫痫的400例，经CT检查发现有274例(68.5%)异常，其中脑萎缩233例(58.25%);颅内占位性病变11例(2.75%);其他异常11例(2.75%);判断困难19例(4.75%)。儿童良性癫痫病大发作
