癫痫患者受到强音刺激，会出现烦躁不安、心慌、心动加速、坐卧不宁等现象，精神高度紧张、神经过度兴奋，都能直接诱发癫痫发作。天气骤然变化能够引起患者机体的不适应，也是癫痫病发作的原因之一。

对于女性癫痫病患者而言，从月经前期开始，孕激素水平下降，雌性激素和孕激素的比值渐渐上升，故此阶段为发作高峰期。月经来潮后10天，孕激素水下达到高峰，雌性激素和孕激素的比值下降，故此阶段为发作的低峰期。月经期间，患者要保持心情愉快，不吃生冷食品。
