3、尽量让老年人癫痫患者保持良好的精神状态，要十分注重自我调节，注意在特定的环境中，稳定自己的情绪，控制好自己的情感，保持心境自然、心平气和，看电视时，特别注意不因剧情的变化而情绪波动过大。

4、老年人癫痫患者要学会控制自己的感情，应该尽量避免接触容易引起自己情绪波动的事情，远离能够激发自己情感的场所，调节自己的精神和心态。

5、作为子女，家有老年癫痫患者，应尽量多陪在他们的身边，照顾他们的饮食起居。老年癫痫患者平时在生活要有规律，要养成良好的生活习惯，同时保证良好的睡眠，避免过度劳累，着凉和发热等。做子女有条件的可以把父母接过去一起住，如果忙于工作的话，也可以雇个保姆来照顾老人，尽量不要让患有癫痫的老人独自居住，这样就会加大癫痫发作时老人的危险处境。
