想要避免癫痫患者发作就应了解诱发癫痫病的原因，患者一定要在日常生活中保护自己，尽量少抽烟，不喝酒，不要做刺激性比较大的事情，保持一个良好的心态，这样有助于癫痫的治疗，防止疾病的复发，让患者免受些癫痫病危害。

存在下面一些因素的患者，停药后复发率较高，因此停药更需慎重：30岁以后发病者;控制前发作频率高、病程长者;大脑有器质性病变者;存在精神发育障碍者;停药前脑电图异常者，尤其是重度异常者;停药前多药联用或血药浓度高者;某些发作类型：如复杂部分性发作、小发作变异型。

癫痫病的频繁性发作使患者生活承受力弱。一般来说，成人癫痫患者的精神承受能力和身体素质都较差，因此生活中的不良刺激容易导致癫痫的复发，如婚姻、家庭、工作等出现了问题，成人癫痫患者无法接受容易发病，因此要重视并处理好这些问题，避免出现癫痫反复的发作。

　　癫痫经发作期治疗后，须预防间歇期再发。在控制病程之后，仍须坚持服药6~12个月以上，使体质改善，疾病痊愈。平素则注意患童的生活作息、精神调节和饮食。忌食肥甘生冷之品，适当的体育运动锻炼。实践证明：只有患者家属和医生加强配合，小儿癫痫病是完全可以治疗的。癫痫病人必须服药吗
