a、大发作表现为意识突然丧失，癫痫疾病患者呼吸暂停、口吐白沫、面色青紫、瞳孔散大，抽搐开始为四肢的强直、握拳、两眼上翻或偏斜一方，癫痫疾病患者然后面部及四肢肌肉呈阵挛性抽动，呼吸急促不整，常有舌咬伤，可以有大小便失禁。发作持续1-5分钟，发作后意识不清或嗜睡，经数小时清醒。

b、专家介绍说癫痫疾病患者的症状中，宝宝癫痫的症状小发作特点为突然发生短暂的意识丧失，没有发作后嗜睡，发作时语言中断、活动停止，固定于某一体位，不跌倒，两眼茫然凝视。有时面色苍白，没有肌肉抽搐，发作持续2-10秒，不超过30秒，很快意识恢复，继续正常活动。

c、在某些小儿还可表现为肌阵挛，即躯体某部位肌肉或肢体突然抽动，或屈或伸，没有意识丧失，这种肌阵挛可发展为全身性大发作。

d、一些小儿突然发生一过性肌张力丧失，不能维持姿势，发作持续1-3秒，可以连续数次，不完全性肌张力丧失可表现为突然低头。若全身肌张力丧失可骤然倒下，意识暂时不清。发作后立即清醒，当即站起，这种情况称为无动性发作，也是癫痫的一种。
