年龄因素，继发性癫痫的发病年龄，主要决定于各种原发病的发生时期，如脑先天性疾病，多发生在婴儿或者儿童期;成人的变态疾病，如老年性痴呆等，原发性癫痫，其发病年龄一般都较有规律：小发作大多在6-10岁之间开始出现，约有半数的人在青春期自发地痊愈;大发作大多在11一15岁之间开始出现。睡眠不足，大多数患者由于精神紧张、休息不好、失眠而引起发作。
