2、癫痫饮食注意控制饮水：有学者认为：间脑是人体水液调节中枢，大量液体进入体内，会增加间脑的负担。从而诱发癫痫。而且有些癫痫患者往往在憋尿的过程中，突然发病，大概也因为过量饮水后造成膀胱过度充盈，从而产生较强的电冲动，诱发神经元异常放电所致。

3、癫痫饮食注意尽量避免和杜绝饮酒和吸烟：酒中含有大量的酒精，长期大量的饮酒可直接产生酒精中毒，乙醇又对高级的神经活动有抑制作用，从而过度饮酒可直接引发癫痫病。吸烟的坏处更不用过多解释。因为烟中含有大量的尼古丁，尼古丁对大脑血管的收缩有着重要的影响。所以一定要杜绝大量吸烟和饮酒的恶习。

4、多进食豆类，谷类食物：研究表明，豆类食物和谷类食物(如黄豆、扁豆、小麦等)富含微量元素锰，而有调查显示：1/3癫痫儿童血清锰低于正常儿童，曾有一个15岁患儿其血清锰比正常儿童少一半，所以多进食豆类及谷类食物，可补充癫痫患者锰的摄取不足。
