最好使用单药低剂量治疗，因为目前还没有任何一种抗痫药对胎儿是完全安全的，所以选药的原则仍然是依据病人的发作类型，选择控制发作效果挺好的药物。单药治疗可以明显减少胎儿畸形率的发生。补充足量的微生素、无机盐、微量元素和叶酸，保证充足的营养和睡眠，尽量避免服用其它的药物，禁止饮酒。

(2)继续抗痫药治疗

除了少数在计划怀孕前发作已停止多年，辅助检查已没有异常的病人，可在受孕前逐渐减少和停用抗癫痫药外，大多数病人在受孕和妊娠期应继续抗癫痫药物的治疗，因为妊娠期的发作，特别是强直发作，有可能造成母体外伤，导致流产或对胎儿的其它损伤。
