专家介绍：癫痫患者长期大量的吸烟和饮酒可以对身体造成多方面的损害，烟中含有大量尼古丁，一般人轻度过量吸烟可出现头晕、恶心等症状，就是尼古丁中毒的结果。尼古丁会对大脑形成严重刺激，使患者神经兴奋，导致癫痫发作。所以癫痫患者最好不要抽烟，如果有抽烟习惯但又无法戒掉时最好少抽。

很多癫痫患者的发作与抽烟有明显的关系，尼古丁与脑血管的舒缩有明显的影响。长期大量饮酒也可直接产生酒精中毒性癫痫，不少患者都有饮酒诱发癫痫的经历。所以癫痫患者是不能吸烟的，也不能喝酒。还有一些容易引起脑神经兴奋的饮料，如浓茶、咖啡等，癫痫患者都要慎用，大量饮用也会引起高度兴奋，成为癫痫发作的诱因。

癫痫患者生活中除要按时按量服用yao物外，还应该注意生活中的癫痫护理，要保持规律的生活，不能过度劳累，避免着凉和发热。不宜长时间打牌、下棋，以免诱发癫痫发作。患者还应该要注意忌食生冷、辛辣及油腻食物。
