1.发作间期EEG：约2/3患儿可记录到枕叶放电或枕叶棘波，其余1/3脑电图正常或有枕外棘波。发作间期EEG主要为多灶性的尖慢综合波，波幅可高可低。由于不同的电极安放位置，功能性局灶性棘波可有很大的变异。尽管以后脑为主，有时全脑均可受累。

2、枕叶放电和枕叶棘波：约半数患儿(55%)可由闭眼诱发出典型的枕叶放电。另外还有20%～30%的患儿在不同的检查中可记录到高波幅枕叶棘波，但该棘波可随时发生变化，出现频率时高时低。枕叶痫性放电或棘波可以仅出现在睡眠EEG中，也可仅出现在发作后EEG中或在病程中复查脑电图时发现。即使临床没有发作，棘波的起源和频率也可发生变化。约1/3(36%)Pan―ayiotopoulos综合征患儿不仅有枕叶棘波，而且在同一次或以后的EEG随访中还可记录到其他部位的或多灶性的功能性棘波。所有的棘波一般在13岁前消失。

3、枕外棘波或正常EEG：约1/3患儿可记录到枕外棘波或正常EEG。

4、全面性痫性放电：少数患儿可记录到短暂的(持续0.5～2s)混有小棘波的全导的棘波或棘慢综合波。此种EEG可发生在该综合征的任何时期，或单独发生(4%)或伴有局灶性棘波(15%)。

5、发作期EEG：该综合征由于发作频率较低，发作期EEG很少被记录到。
