强直性发作，表现为全身僵硬，可能突然跌倒，四肢没有节律性抖动，也可有手上举，头后仰，或头转向一侧，伴面色或口唇青紫。阵挛性发作表现为四肢、头面部有节律抖动，而不会身体长时间僵硬不动。
