三、感染因素：在各种脑炎、脑膜炎、脑脓肿急性期的充血、水肿、毒素的影响及血液中的渗出物都能引起癫痫发作，痊愈后形成的疤痕及粘连也可能成为癫痫灶;寄生虫，如脑血吸虫病、脑囊虫病常引起癫痫。

四、神经因素：是很重要的发病因素。神经过度紧张，突然受到惊吓，心情长期抑郁，过分的激动、愤怒、伤感等对人造成神经刺激和神经创伤，形成发病的内环境。

五、外伤：成人闭合性脑外伤后约有百分之五发生癫痫病，重症及开放性脑外伤后约有百分之三十发生癫痫病。
