二、小儿癫痫病是一种突发性，短暂性大脑功能失调性疾病。因强直性发作常伴有脑室出血，而肌阵挛发作本身即属于早期肌阵挛性脑病症状群的一部分，所以二者的预后都比较差。小儿癫痫病主要由小儿神经系统发育不全，大脑皮层受到高热或剧烈的精神刺激，产生过度兴奋引起。

三、小儿癫痫的早期症状包括还包括了失神症，小儿癫痫病的失神症高发期，多在六七岁，因为小孩子的神经系统功能尚未发育健全，对较小刺激特别容易引起强烈的反应，尤其是对外界不良因素的影响特别敏感。此外，反复发作对小儿的智力及精神发育也会产生严重影响。

四、小儿癫痫的早期症状的前驱症状：前驱症状是指在大发作前的数日或数小时，小孩子出现的全身不适、易激惹、烦燥不安、情绪忧郁、心境不佳、常挑剔或抱怨他人的症状。
