(1)非特异性刺激诱发因素所致发作这类病例常因生理因素、环境因素和性功能的影而诱发癫痫。如有些妇女在经前期的发作较平时频繁或在经期或在妊娠期间发作而有些患者的发作与睡眠觉醒周期有关或仅在白天或仅在夜间发作或仅在睡眠中发作或在晨醒时发作。其他因素如高热、饮酒、过度换气、代谢紊乱、睡眠不足等均可引起某些癫痫患者发病。

(2)特异性刺激诱发因素所致发作对于个别患者来讲有时仅某种特别因素才能促成发作此类刺激大多属于感觉刺激。常见的有

视觉刺激如由光源强刺激、闪光刺激等引起的发作(称光敏性癫痫)。目前临床上做脑电图检查时就是利用这种原理对受检查者进行刺激以期诱发发作从而为临床诊断提供依据。

听觉刺激;

躯体感觉刺激即身体某部位受到触觉或温度觉或关节运动觉的刺激而引起发作;

④精神感觉刺激如强烈情感刺激、惊吓等;

⑤内脏感觉刺激如进食后胃的牵张感、腹胀、咳嗽、憋尿、心慌、牙痛、性交等。

(3)高级心理活动诱发性癫痫是反射性癫痫的特殊类型其诱因不是单纯的视、听或某种特殊刺激而是包括阅读、书写、绘画、计算、下棋、玩牌等复杂的高级心理活动。

(4)自我诱发性癫痫即患者常采取某一固定的刺激方式对自己进行刺激以引起发作。
